The Food Journal was invited by Mandarin Oriental for a fun afternoon of interactive dessert plating with young and rising Specialty Pastry Chef Desmond Lee at Melt Café.
A little bio on Chef Desmond, though at a young age of 28, he has represented Singapore in the recent Global Pastry Chef Challenge, held in Thessaloniki, Greece. He will move on to bring pride to the nation in the World Pastry Cup in Lyon, France, the most prestigious pastry competition in the world. That said, can we just mention how we are so honoured to have the chance to dab our fingers in dessert plating with Chef Desmond guiding us?
