Chinese New Year is round the corner and we bring you a round up of options for Family reunion dinners and lunches. Not to forget the important CNY eve dinner. Enjoy festive buffets and Yu Sheng Platters at the following restaurants:

Usher  in the year of the Metal Rat with your family and friends at the Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant in the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. Indulge in the festive fare of a specially-curated menu with Oriental masterpieces featuring classic favourites and other Cantonese epicurean delights from the 3rd of  January to the 8th February 2020.

Hugely popular for its Cantonese gastronomy, the Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant will be offering bespoke Set Menus, à la carte Lunar New Year choices and innovative Lunar New Year takeaway treats in celebration of the Year of the Rat!

The Auspicious Set Menus are priced at $108.80++ per person and the Lavish Lunar New Year Eve (24th January)Set Menus will start from $118.80++ per person.

The enticing menu include delectable dishes such as the Mini Abalone, Salmon and Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng, Braised South African 22-Head Abalone with Conpoy & Winter Melon, Braised Boston Lobster and Black Truffle with Superior Stock , Ginseng Marinated Irish Roast Duck and Deep-Fried Lobster Meat with White Peach Mayonnaise. Vegetarian options include the Black Truffle Yu Sheng, Double-boiled Monkey Head Mushroom with Chinese Herbs and Wok-Fried Sweet Beancurd Skin.

The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is also offering takeaway delights to sweeten your family reunion. The takeaway menu include Lobster, Scallop, Salmon, Alaskan Crab, Caviar and Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng with Passionfruit Pearls and a choice of White Peach, Kumquat or Traditional Sauce. There are  new creations comprising of Golden Nian Gao Tart with Red Date and Carrot Cake with Chinese Sausage and Dried Shrimp  to try out along with the all -time favourite: Koi Fish Fresh Mango Pudding.

The halal-certified Katong Kitchen is famous for serving both Singapore’s traditional classics and modern favourites. The Lunar New Year buffet at Katong Kitchen will feature its best spread ever with the Braised Duck with Chestnut, Broccoli with Mushroom & Abalone Oyster Sauce, Salted Egg Slipper Lobster. New highlights would be the Chic Kut Teh and a Live Station Serving Pisang Goreng and Cempedak Goreng. A Peng Cai Special is available on Chinese New Year’s Eve (24 January). The halal-certified restaurant ‘s menu draws inspiration  from Penang, Melaka, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and more. This Chinese New Year, enjoy traditional festive dishes at the Straits Cafe such as Fried Seafood Longevity Noodles, Braised Peng Cai and Eight Treasure Duck and signature dishes such as the Klang Chic Kut Teh, Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun, Wok Fried Kam Hiong Lala and more. Also on offer for only the Chinese New Year Eve’s dinner menu is the complimentary mini Buddha Jump Over the Wall. New dishes and highlights this year include the Salt Baked Chicken, Braised Crabmeat Soup, Claypot Rice with Preserved Chicken Meat & Dried Shrimp. Saltwater, which is halal-certified, offers a sumptuous buffet with traditional Chinese New Year dishes alongside a galore of Asian and local Singaporean fare. Take your pick of appetizers that include Bak Kwa, Smoked Duck and Mandarin Orange Hoisin Salad, or enjoy a warm bowl of Crab Meat, Fish Maw or Shark Fin soup. Other festive selections include Lotus Leaf Rice, Hong Kong Style Steamed Seabass and Peng Cai. New dishes include the Smoked Duck with Popiah Wrap and the Seafood Yam Ring. A Boston Lobster (from Seafood on Ice section) is new and available only on Chinese New Year’s Eve (24 January). Also, available on their buffet spread  are Saltwater’s award-winning DIY Rojak and Oxtail stew.
