Gather your friends around for a festive soiree at this gastrobar cum deli. Order up a few drinks to get the merriment flowing and then a Fumee Festive Plank ($88) for the table. The massive sharing plate comes
with a 1kg roast chicken, US prime steak, maple-glazed Virginia ham, mashed potatoes, fries, and salad. But if you’re not one for sharing, order a festive set menu (from $28) that comes with dishes like butternut squash soup and roasted spring chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes.

Fruitcake gets a bad reputation as a way-too-sweet, hard-as-brick loaf. But friendly neighbourhood cafe, Kith has come up with a delicious version ($16.80) made with a family recipe. For the festive season, they’re also offering house-made honeycomb and whisky-infused mochas and hot chocolates ($7.80) as well as three comforting dishes. Start with the Ocean’s Delight ($20), a seafood lovers dream with king prawn, pomegranate-cured salmon, and crab meat served with fixings like wasabi yoghurt and avocado. The special mains include the filling X’Mas Capon ($30) stuffed with a decadent mixture of sun-dried tomatoes, walnuts, and black truffles.

It’s not a bad idea to work up some good karma around the holiday season. So why not break bread with your loved ones at fusion and wholesome restaurant, Elemen? Their fully vegetarian White Christmas Feast ($42.80++ per person) includes eight delectable courses such as broccoli and apple salad, stir-fried Italian rice with edamame, golden mantou with hot chilli sauce, and a molten matcha lava cake.

Celebrate the festive season the Bavarian way at Paulaner Brauhaus. From 5 to 26 December, relish in their sumptuous offering that includes the Paulaner Sausage Specialty ($19.50) and the Bavarian Christmas Platter ($33.50 per person with a minimum of two people). An order of the former includes traditional grilled Christmas sausages served with warm potato salad, while the latter comes with your choice of either a mixed platter of poultry or grilled meats and seafood. Then say cheers to a few pints.
